Dr. R. Jagannathan, former Vice – Chancellor, Middle East University, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, is a versatile and talented academician who holds esteemed degrees in multifaceted disciplines. He is an erudite scholar in Physics, Space physics and Law. He was taught, inspired and motivated by two Nobel Laureates Prof. Carlo Rubia and Prof. Abdus Salam at ICTP Trieste, Italy. He is a recognized Ph.D., Supervisor. His design and fabrication of a microcomputer system to analyse evoked potentials in human brain, was funded by University Grants Commission(UGC), Government of India. For his another project to investigate materials at ultra high microwave frequencies, the UGC has given him a grant of INR 0.53 Million.
He has traveled extensively and has published many research papers. He has organized several National and International conferences. He has contributed scholarly articles and books in the field of Physics. He is the asian adaptor of the famous physics books “University Physics by Sears, Zemansky et al” and “Classical Mechanics by Herbert Goldstein et al”, which are widely used through out the world.
He is an experienced professor, a veteran researcher and an able administrator. He is also an IRCA certified ISO 9001: 2015 Lead Auditor. He is the President of Digital Security Association of India. His fields of interests include mathematical modelling of physical and biological systems, computer controlling, simulation and data analytics.
Dr. Lois Marie Newman

Dr. Lois Marie Newman former Dean, Professor & Chair of Clinical Anatomy in College of Medicine & Health Science, (Destiny Univ School of Medicine.) St. Lucia, Professor of Anatomy in Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA and Professor of Histology in University of California, USA and in many other Institutions in the US. She has more than 50 years of experience in teaching medicine with leading Schools in the US and in the Caribbean.
She received her Ph.D., from University of California.She was in numerous research committees in Thomas Jefferson University and was teaching there for more than 25 years various subjects in Basic Medical Science. Her teaching interests include Medical Education, Medical Gross Anatomy, Histology, Clinical Anatomy and Toxicology. She was the recipient of The Founders Award’ in Thomas Jefferson University, Department of Physical Therapy in the year 1998.
She has more than 50 publications in the field of medicine. She was a former member in American Association of Clinical Anatomist and a fellow in International Stress and Behavior Society (ISBS)
Mr. Allan C Burnett
Registrar, Senate Member.
Mr. Allan C Burnett is an Independent Consultant on Education and Psychotherapy. He worked at various levels of the education system (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) for the past 38 years in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines and has functioned as teacher, lecturer, administrator and counsellor. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Instructional Leadership and Management from the University of West of England, Bristol. He also obtained a Master of Science degree in Counselling and a Bachelor of Education degree in Social Studies and History from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. The experiences gained in his various domains have added to his maturity, patience, flexbility and tact, which he believes are fundamental elements in his relationship-building development. His vision is “Empowering for better life choices”.
He is a veteran administrator and has excellent rapport with the educational set-up in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
M.S., M.Ch., FRCS (Glasgow)., FRCS (Edin)., Surgical gastroenterologist, Senate Member.
Dr. Thirunavukkarasu passed his M.B.B.S and M.S., from Kilpauk Medical College, University of Madras. He secured his M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from Madras Medical College. He was teaching students of M.B.B.S., M.S & M.Ch., for about three decades. He was the Professor and Head of Surgical Gastroenterology Department. He can establish a Medical School, and a veteran administrator of Medical colleges and attached hospitals. He is an authority in establishing state of department of Surgical Gastroenterology. Till today, 10 batches of students have been trained or currently undergoing training and 7 batches have successfully secured their M.Ch degree and doing well in the country and abroad.
He has more than 42 years of teaching and surgical experience. He has 17 papers published in reputed National and International journals to his credit. 4 publications are currently under review and 6 ongoing clinical studies in his department. He is already a FRCS (Glasgow) and has been provisionally elected for the prestigious FRCS(Edin), the joining ceremony of which will be held in October 2019. Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D., in medical sciences at Lincoln University, Malaysia and also a recognized Ph.D., Supervisor in NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh. His wish is to continue being a teacher and perform surgical work as long as he can.
Dr. Vetri Selvi
M.B.B.S., D.O., FRCS., Specialist in Medical Retina, Senate Member.
Dr. Vetri Selvi obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Madras Medical College and her Postgraduate Certification D.O., from Regional Institute of Opthalmology GOH, Chennai. Had extensive Fellowships in Laser in Diabetic Retinopathy and was trained in Diabetic Eye Disorders. She is an FRCS (Glasgow)
She is a Consultant Ophthalmologist having 17 years of experience in General Ophthalmology and well experienced in Medical retina for the last 11 years. With immense general professional training in ophthalmology and significant additional experience in treating medical retina conditions – inclusive of procedures, she wishes to pursue a career in the same. She enjoys challenges including procedures in ophthalmology and strongly believe in working alongside patients/family and helping them understand the disease better.
She is fascinated and passionate about the research and developments in medical retina and genetics and treatment of retinal conditions and is an active member of the Retina Interest Group.
M.D.S., (Russia), Senior consultant, Conservative dentistry and Endodontics, Senate Member.
He graduated BDS in Chennai, India. He did his Masters in Dental Surgery from the Department of Conservative dentistry and Endodontics of the IP Pavlov State Medical University, St Petersburg, Russia. During this tenure, he published research journals of importance both in international and national journals.
Teaching has always been his passion and hence he ventured into academics and I now he dedicates his time in making his students develop the same passion that he shares with dentistry. He provides efficient lessons and exercises that help students develop their clinical skills or even discover their hidden talents.
He treats his patients with care and concern. He is also a consultant for Endodontic procedures in various hospitals and dental clinics.
He spends his spare time in voluntary services in old age homes set up by the Government of Tamilnadu. He is also spirited and enjoy his time with friends around.

Dr. Sethu Kumanan hails from the rural hamlet Kandaramanickam, Sivagangai District. India. He is a graduate of Madurai Kamaraj University. He was awrded the Degree of Doctor – Honoris Causa, by Soka University, Japan. He has a passion for teaching and is an educationist. He is the Correspondent & Managing Trustee of the Sethu Valliammal Educational Trust which runs an Agricultural College, Arts and Science college for women, two matriculation schools, an Industrial Training Institute, a karunaiagam, an IAS academy, a technology centre … etc.
He has received innumerable awards. He is a passionate poet and a prolifc writer. Dr. A.P.J. Abdulkalam, Former President of India, has appreciated him personally for the collection of poems and books that he has written. His writings are sources of great inspiration.
He has visited more than 60 countries, encompassing all the continents and far flung areas like Arctic and Antarctic regions of the world. He is true ambassador of culture and literature, connecting the countries he visits.
Mrs. Gaanappriya Mohan
Biotechnologist, Senate Member
Gaanappriya Mohan is a diligent life sciences professional with expertise in cellular and microbiology techniques. She has worked in Dr. Kenneth Offit Laboratory for Cancer Biology, and Genetics, Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA, in Molecular Inversion Probe Sequencing for targeted genotyping.
She has also worked with Dr. Raymond Birge Laboratory, New Jersey Cancer Center & Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ), Newark, New Jersey, USA, conducting experiments designed to Test the small molecule compounds in tumor tolerance, cancer vaccines, and the clearance of apoptotic cells.
She has authored and published several research papers in International peer reviewed journals and has filed one patent which is under review. She has completed four major projects funded by premier Government organizations.
She was bestowed with the Recognition award by Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York in 2018. She has also been given the “Best Women Scientist” and “Young Women Scientist”. awards. She has been conferred with meritorious student award throughout her graduation and post-graduation. She is a multi- faceted personality. She won the “Nutpam Award” for her contribution to Tamil Literature, a National Championship in Karate, another National Championship in Yoga and a Best Dancer award. She is also a writer whose stories, poems and articles are published in Indian , American and German literary magazines.
Dr. J. Satheeshkumar

Dr. J. Satheeshkumar – an Associate Professor of Computer Applications, is a gold medalist in his Masters. He has published more than 130 research papers in reputed journals and conference proceedings. He edited more than 10 books to his credit. He completed two research projects with grants from University Grants Commission and one from Department of Science and Technology of Government of India.. His another project was selected for funding under TamiNadu Government to establish a “Centre for Internet of Things based Disaster Management Recovery System”. His area of specialization includes image processing, medical imaging, signal processing, machine learning, cheminformatics and networks. He served in various capacities which include Senate Member for Middle East University, FZE, External reviewer for ABET, Representative of DST for INDO-UK Research Collaborative Meet, UK, Deputy nodal officer of the University for RUSA project. He received an Appreciation Award by Korean Convergence Society, Korea. He visited countries which includes Hong Kong, Malaysia, Edinburgh UK, Paisley, Scotland, Philippines, Korea and Vietnam on academic assignments. He does research in Indian Music and its influence on human brain.
